About St.Benedict's
St. Benedict's School of Nursing for Women, established and administered by the Roman Catholic Congregation of the Benedictine Sisters of Our Lady of Grace and Compassion, aims to improve healthcare in rural areas by preparing rural girls for careers as professional nurses. It mainly focuses on providing student-centered learning experiences that foster civic, social and professional responsibility to embrace the challenges posed by the future.
It is a unit of "Hospitality for the Needy”, a charitable society, that promotes uplifting the poor, sick and downtrodden through various endeavours such as having the Home for the Aged, a Crèche for poor children and running round the clock Grace and Compassion Hospital at Tiruvannamalai.

This can be online or obtained together with the Prospectus from the Secretary of St. Benedict's School of Nursing for Women on payment of Rs.200/- if by demand draft, Rs.225/- drawn in favour of St. Benedict's School of Nursing for Women. The application form should be filled up in the candidate’s own hand writing in the prescribed form.
The duly completed application form together with the following enclosures should reach the Principal, on or before as specified in the application form (Do not enclose original certificates).

- Every academic year, beginning in the month of September, the School provides the Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (DGNM).
- The programme lasts for three years and is residential.
- The curriculum of the course is followed as per the directives from the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council (TNNMC).
